15 weeks & Catching up

So first of all I hate blogging I have decided because nothing ever works for me and I can never make any posts looks cute. I am going to try and be better per Britt and Mar because I don't want to be one of "those" prego people. These are all of my pictures from 9 weeks till 15 weeks. This top picture would not move down and I became frustrated so I just left it so the pics are a little out of order. The pictures are not very good either because my camera sucks so in some of them I look like I have gained like 50 lbs. I am going to need a new camera or I need to figure out a way to make these pics looks good on here. The pictures look better printed but you can't see those unless you come to my house so this is as good as it gets I guess.

There is not a whole lot going on in the Ross fam right now we are in the process of looking for a house and I could not be more excited. I am ready to live in our own place and to have my bed bad because this full size bed we are sleeping in right now is not working for me at all. We are both just working and saving money right now so that when this baby comes into this world they will have a place to call home. Speaking of baby we have an appt on Oct 27th and we should be able to find out the sex at that point which I am pretty excited and nervous about. I am nervous because right now I do not buy anything because I don't know what I am having but when I find out I know I will want to make a few purchases. So here are my pictures below and hopefully I can be better at this blogging stuff and figure out how it all works.

Total Weight gain/loss? 2 lbs

Maternity Clothes? Sometimes when I am feeling bloated but I can wear my normal clothes right now and if they are uncomfortable I just had the rubber band to my pants.

Stretch Marks? No and I hope it stays that way

Sleep: It is good off and on I am sick of getting up to pee though.

Best Moment this week: starting to look for a house that our family will live in.

We could not be more excited!!!!

Jeff and I started trying in April and after a couple months of failed attempts and some emotional ones at that, we found out we were expecting on July 29, 2011. It was probably the weirdest day ever. I was anxious all day because I was just waiting to start my period and it just was not coming. Jeff thought that I was pregnant for sure because of the symptoms that I had but I thought otherwise. I have found out over the past couple months that when you want to be pregnant your body plays mean tricks on you and you tend to have every symptom possible even when you are not prego. So I tried not to get my hopes up every month but it was really hard I am not going to lie. So back to the day that I found out I was heading into my second job when my sister in law called me to see if I had started yet and I told her that I had not. She told me to take a test because it would help me to feel better when I finally had an answer. I technically was not late because my cycle had been changing for the past couple months from 26 days to 27 days to 28 days and I was only on the 28th day so I felt like I needed to wait a little longer but she told me just to do it and get it over with. I was anxious all night at work because I still was not starting but the night was going by so slow and to top it off people where in our store till 15 after nine and I was freaking out I just wanted to get home. I finally was able to close up and I rushed home as fast as I could to take a test. Jeff was at softball so I wanted to take it before he got home so we did not have two anxious faces. I took the test and the whole thing turned bright red. I flipped out because I thought that I did it wrong so I made myself walk away from it and change before I started REALLY freaking out. I went back in a couple minutes and there were two lines on the test and I started freaking out. I ran around the house trying to figure out what to do because I did not want to call Jeff and get him excited over the phone if it was not true so I called my sister in law to make sure I was not crazy(I realize now that I should of just waited for Jeff instead of telling someone else first but I was freaking out and not believing what I was seeing and did not want to get his hopes up if I was wrong.) So on to the story, Jeff came home and I just walked him into the bathroom and showed him the test and he was so excited and we hugged and freaked out together because we finally did it. We then took pictures of us with the test and some of guido with the test. We then sat on the floor and just talked about what was going to happen to us in the next nine months and how much our lives were going to change. It was so weird because when I first saw that test I had no emotion because it does not feel like it is real it just feels like a game or something.
So I was four weeks when I found out I was prego and some of the symptoms I had that I did not pay attention to:

*I was so tired I took naps pretty much every day and I went to bed early pretty much every night.
*I ran a 10k on my birthday so I was only like a week prego but I was pretty sick the next day and I had no idea why but now this explains it.
*A funny symptom was that I was getting bug bites in the last couple weeks and I know this seems strange but my sister in law was prego and she kept getting attacked by bugs outside and I would not get one bite and it was because she was prego and I was not and so when I started getting bites I kind of had an idea that that could be why but I did not want to get my hopes up so I just pushed that thought out of my head.
*The day before I found out I was pregnant I was at the store and I saw a bottle of Brisk Ice Tea with Lemonade and I have never even looked at that stuff or cared for it but I wanted it so bad so I bought it and downed the whole bottle in about 5 minutes and it was the best thing ever. (Now that I am 10 weeks prego I have no desire for that crap I was pretty much over it a couple days later.)
*I have been really thirsty so far and luckily no sickness yet.
*I have also been really emotional, I had a meltdown because when I was four weeks pregnant because I felt like I was not doing enough for this baby. It is funny now that I think about it but at the time I was so devastated.

Jeff is totally having sympathy symptoms and he just as thirsty. I brought water to church and he drank more of it then I did which is not like Jeff at all, he hates water. He is also just as tired as I am and he sleeps pretty much the same schedule I do.

I am 10 1/2 weeks now and I have had two ultrasounds already, which is the coolest thing I have ever seen. He/She looks like a human now and I just want to hold my baby already. My doctor is so great she is just so happy and excited for me which makes it that much better. I have not been sick my only problem is that I keep getting everyones sicknesses around me. I think I have had a sinus infection for about 4 1/2 weeks now. I am really thirsty right now also and I feel like I am already gaining weight and showing which is crazy. This has already been a long post but I am hoping now that I will post more because this is something very important that needs to be documented. I am also going to post pictures and stuff soon.

I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything I just feel like time has been going crazy fast and before I know it, it has been months since my last post. I don't have pictures to post which is lame but a little update is needed.

In the end of March we went to San Diego with Jeffs family and it was so much fun. I love love love San Diego and if I could I would totally move there in a heart beat.

Jeff graduated 2 weeks ago and I could not be more proud of him. He has to finish up an internship this summer still but then after that we are hopefully done with school for some time.

Jeff quit his job at the Marriot which is bittersweet. I am so happy to have him back on the weekends now but the deal we got on hotels was pretty sweet.

I am still working two jobs. I love working with childrens clothing it is pretty fun.

I guess that is it see how boring that is. Hopefully next time I will have more to say and some pictures because Roxy is getting married next week and I will have to post about that for sure.

So I found this blog recently about this family in Utah. They have three kids and she was prego with their fourth when one night her and baby passed away. This happened about two weeks ago and the husband writes like he is writing to his wife and it gets me every time. I ache for them and wish there was something I could do so I will share this will all of you so you can hear their story. If you read a couple posts down it is a long post but the husband tells the whole story and it is so amazing to hear how much faith he has during such a hard time. It is such a touching story to read.

4 years!!!

I can not believe that I have been married for 4 years!! It seems like forever but at the same time it does not. I don't really know how to explain it but I am glad that we did get married 4 years ago today and I am glad that I got so lucky to be with someone so kind, patient, funny and of course the fact that he is Hot doesn't hurt. Jeff always knows how to make any situation good with some kind of joke and that's why I love him so much. I feel like this is going to be a good year for us and I am excited about all of the changes this year. We just found that Jeff will be graduating April 29th instead of December so that started the year off just right. We have also been focusing on the whole Dave Ramsey deal whom I love by the way and things have changed so much with out finances so that is a good thing. We will be leaving for San Diego in a couple weeks with the whole Ross clan which I am so excited about. I did start a second little part time job at Naartjie the childrens clothing store in fashion place. I started it to give me something to do while Jeff was coaching because it took up so much of his time and now that basketball is over I don't want to leave because I love being around all of those baby clothes so I will be sticking with that job for sure. There are some things coming up that are going to be a huge change for Jeff and I but I can not disclose because I don't think this person would really appreciate that just yet so I will wait for another day but it is definitely making Jeff and I realize that it is time to move to the next chapter of our lives and we could not be more excited about it. I am scared for what is to come this year but I have a really good feeling that we are going to have some exciting changes in the next couple of months. My sister in law also just found out she will be having her fourth boy in July and we are excited for her and now I have someone to shop for at my store so that is fun. Well this is a lame post sorry for the scattered thoughts but so much has happened in the last couple of days that I am kind of all over the place. So to my wonderful husband I love you very much and I am excited for what the future has in store for us.

Green Smoothie Challenge

I started the Green Smoothie Challenge on Saturday. You make these green smoothies and have them for every meal as much as you want them. It is a cleanse type diet that is so good for you. My sister in law did it for a week and she lost 7 pounds so I knew it was something I had to do. It is not just for losing weight it really does make you feel better. It helps with your hair, skin, black circles under eyes, bad breath and that icky bloated feeling. I only have a couple more pounds to lose to get to my goal weight so I thought this would be a good way. I started it Saturday and I decided that I would have the smoothies for breakfast and lunch and then eat a healthy dinner. The beginning of the day was fine the smoothies were good and I was doing fine but then about 3 o clock hit and I just wanted some sort of warm meal or something to chew on. I was even craving chocolate and pizza they were the only thing I could think of. I ate dinner that night and because I have no self control I ate a couple chocolate chips to feed my craving so I did not die. Then Sunday I had one smoothie that was nasty but I drank the whole thing and I was pretty full till dinner time which was a good thing. I then weighed myself at my mother in laws because I do not own a scale (I hate them) and to my surprise I had lost three pounds in a day. I could not believe it I was pretty excited so now I am way more motivated to complete this week with the smoothies. I only have one more pound to lose till I am at my goal weight and I really think that it will be possible after this week. I have found some foods that I can munch on like whole natural almonds, carrots, avocados, celery and cucumbers. I am starting to feel better also I did have a caffeine headache for the first two days but right now I am feeling good. I wanted to blog about this so I could hold myself accountable because now others know that I am doing this and even though it is kind of hard it has been well worth it.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I love the new year it is like a chance to start fresh and I love it.

This last year was a good year for Jeff and I

We moved into an apartment in West Jordan because we wanted to have a chance to live alone for once in our marriage and then a couple months after we moved in my aunt came back from New York due to a divorce and needed a place to live so she moved in with us. She lived here for about 5 months and now that she has moved out Jeff and I are going to be moving back to our newly remodeled basement apartment and we are pretty excited about it.

We added a new addition to our family and we are in love with him. He is actually sitting right next to me right now. He loves to cuddle and he pretty much thinks he rules this place and I am OK with it. He has cured some of the baby hunger I have felt in the past year because he is like my baby. My family makes fun of Jeff and I because we treat him like our child but he is like a human to me and I don't care what anyone says (Kody). His name is Guido by the way and he is a cutie.

Jeff finished up his second to last year of school and now he is starting his last year in 2011!!!!!! I am so excited for him to be done and have a life and a normal job because these night shifts are killing us both.

He also started coaching at Murray High School. He is the head coach of the Sophomore basketball Team and he loves it. My nephew is on his team so every game is a family affair and it is so fun. I am in charge of recording the games so when Jeff shows the games to his team he has to put it on mute because my sister in law and I pretty much talk the whole time and some convos are not for their ears that is for sure.

I started working at home every other day mainly because I did not want Guido to have to be home alone that often. The reason for this is because when we first had him he had minor panic attacks when we would leave him but it just turns out he does not like to be locked up in a room so now that we just let him free he is just fine.

We also started the Dave Ramsey total money makeover this past year and we could not be any happier. We have completely implemented the envelope system and we are working on an emergency fund as of right now. We are so excited about it because we have already saved so much money. I have been couponing like crazy and last month we only spent $140 on groceries and we pretty much ate in every single night and a couple nights we had friends over so I was even feeding more then just Jeff and I. The main reason we started this was because of the blog Money Saving Mom she is on my blog list and I am obsessed with their life.

This year I have decided on some "New Habits" I would like to bring into my life but I also saw this great idea on the blog Money Saving Mom and she is doing the 12 DIY projects that she would like to attempt in 2011. I am not going to do every single one she is doing but I have made my list and maybe I will post it a little bit later.

This next year is going to be a good one for Jeff and I. I am pretty excited for this year and everything it has to offer us. I also just wanted to put a little side note in this long long post about Jeff and how much he means to me. I could not imagine life without him. He has done so much for us and our future family. He works so hard everyday going to school full time and working two jobs that are classified as part time jobs but they are really full time jobs in my eyes that take a lot of his time but he does it for us and I have never ever heard him complain. He is the best example I could ever have in my life because he gets along with everyone and I have really never heard him talk bad about anyone just to do it. He always tells me to just forget things and move on because they don't really matter. (still working on that) He is constantly trying to help me with things around the house even though he is tired and so busy. I never do dishes or laundry by myself because he is always right there ready to help me. I just love him and I know that he loves me because he makes it a point to tell me every single day. I am excited for this next year with him and for many many more. LOVE YOU!!!

Halloween

I know I know it is about time right?

I have been meaning to post this for a little while now but life happens.

So Jeff and I starting thinking about Halloween early this year because we wanted to be something different. We are not the most creative people but I think that our costumes turned out all right.

We went back and forth between many different options like:

The pong game on Atari (My personal fave)
Ketchup and Mustard with Guido as a hot dog.
Pauly D and Snooki (Burgers for the boys!!)
Taylor Swift and Kanya West (Jeff had to work Halloween night so we could not paint him black)

We tried to be creative Jeff even came home with a bunch of different ideas some were funny some were just not for me and some were Jeffs kind of funny :)

In the end we decided on a funny one that was really cheap to make just how we like it :)

Girls Gone Wild Camera Crew and one of the girls.

I don't think others thought it was as funny as we did but o well it was fun.

On Friday night we went to Bert and Ambers and had a lot of fun. We carved pumpkins, ate yummy food, talked a lot and had some costume contests.

Danes costume cracked me up he used nail polish for his teeth. (Weird) and then the most creative thing I have ever seen he used fake spiderwebs to make his dreads.

We then went to Britt and Matts house on Halloween to hang out. We had so much fun we played a murder mystery game and of course I was the murderer and I had to wink at people to kill them lets just say I did not do a good job. It was a fun game though. We also took a whole bunch of pics but I only put a couple on here because there were just too many.

Overall we had a ton of fun this Halloween and we were so glad we got to spend it with friends and family. I love Halloween because of the feeling you get when everyone is dressing up and getting excited for it and because when it is done you get to start prepping yourself for Thanksgiving and Christmas o yeah and don't forget Black Friday!!

I totally went to Paris

I went with these crazy people and it was so much fun!!! We left on a Wednesday and came back Tuesday. We fly stand by so on the way there everyone got business class but me and so I was stuck next to a Rastafarian man in dreads that was watching inappropriate things on his laptop during the 9 hour flight and he for sure made me feel uncomfortable. It was all worth it though because we had so much fun together. I went with my mother in law and three of my sister in laws. We stayed in a Villa by Disneyland and it was so nice. It was like a town home we had three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a dining room, kitchen, laundry room and a back yard. It really was so nice and even though I really have no desire to go back because the people there are just so put out by Americans being there I am still so happy that I was able to go. We tried to do the whole frowning picture but obviously I can not do it and Nikki could not stop laughing to do it.Melissa was so good and it and the lady next her is a perfect picture of how the people of Paris looked at us. They did not like us that is for sure because we were loud everywhere we went and we actually smiled which they don't like to do I guess.We rode the subway everywhere and it was such a party. It was always us goofing off and my mother in law trying to figure out where we were going.The trip home was a little more interesting. I was able to fly business from Paris to Cincinnati which was awesome because they feed you a five course meal and the seats go back all the way so you get to lay down. When we got to Cincinnati we were not able to get on a flight there so we flew to Los Angeles and could not make a flight there so then we flew to Las Vegas. We thought we were going home from there and we were so ready and excited because we had been traveling for like 36 hours at this point and then when we went to get on the plane they would not let us on so we had to stay at the hooters hotel that night. We got to bed at 10:00 p.m. and then woke up at 4:00 a.m. to catch a 6:30 a.m. flight which of course only Kari made it and by this time we were so done. There was crying involved this time because we were so tired and just exhausted so we just decided to buy tickets to get home and I am so grateful we did. When I got to the airport Jeff was waiting by the bags with Guido and I was so excited to see them and then we I got home my house was clean and I found this little note waiting for me. I will be posting more of my pics later.

Baby Shower

This cute couple is going to be having a baby in a little while and I was so excited when I got the chance to throw them a baby shower. I am a virgin to the baby shower throwing so I was a little nervous that no one would have fun or court would be totally disappointed because after all she has been working hard to make this baby so she deserves a good party. I wanted to do a Jeep themed party because Court loves Jeeps but that is hard to do because I could not find anything so I finally just decided to do the colors green and blue and then add a little touch of Jeep where ever I could. This is the diaper cake that I made. They are a little harder then they look but it was so fun finally being able to make one because I have always wanted to make one. On a side note I bought 3 packages of newborn diapers and if I would of bought them without coupons then they would of cost $13.00 a piece but I used coupons and I was able to get them for $4.00 a piece. That was a steal of a deal and I was so excited about it.I went to Orson Gygi to see if I could find a Jeep cookie cutter but they just don't exist so instead I bought a pack of 101 cookie cutters and I am glad that I did because I just decided to use all of the boyish cutters. There were trains, firetrucks, dinosaurs, ducks, sports things and animals. I bought these vases and jars from the D.I. for $0.50 - $1.00 a piece. I was excited that they had so many different ones there and for such a great price.This is the finished product minis the chicken salad sandwiches, mini cheesecakes and the yummy drink that I made. I made those tissue baby decorations and they are not my favorite thing but they turned out decent.I found the idea for these cups on a blog and I thought it was so cute so I had to do it. They looked better in person then in pictures.My husband and Bert pretending to be a baby and mommy nursing. They are so cool!!
I love this picture they were trying to look like a happy couple with their baby but I think it turned out cute. This is baby Hadley and she belongs to Jake and Danica. She is the cutest thing I have ever seen and even though I let Amber think she is Hadleys favorite, Hadley and I really know whats up and we are BFF!!
Allen and Britt they will be married in less then a month. So excited for them!!

Jake and Dani. She looks so good and she just had a baby hopefully I get that lucky when it is my turn.

The party was a lot of fun and I am so happy that I was able to do it and that everything worked out the way it was planned.

My second race

This post is so late but I have a lot of catching up to do. I ran another race back in like August. It was a lot of fun and a little more official this time because I actually registered and I was a part of it this time. It was along the Jordan River parkway more in like South Jordan area I think :) It was really pretty and it was nice to have a trail and not just run on the street like my last race. I did pretty much the same time as last time (29 min) but this time I only stopped once and it was for maybe 6 seconds because this guy ran up behind me and said "you are almost there you cant stop now" so I just took off and beat him in the race hee hee. Jeff came straight from work and I brought Guido with me so they could cheer me on. It was a lot of fun and I am excited to do more races and I even have a love for running now and I never ever thought that would happen.

New Week New Meals!

So last week went pretty well with the meals, we really liked pretty much every meal we had. The Hoedown BBQ Chuckroast was a hit. It was so good and we had it with grilled corn that we added Cayenne pepper to and yum!! Jeff ate so much of that which is always an ego booster for me. The slow Cooker pizza was alright I would rather just make home made pizza it is faster and easier but it was a fun and different way of having pizza.

This week for dinner

So I have seen a lot of blogs where people post what they are having for dinner in the beginning of the week. I am trying to be good at sticking to a dinner schedule so we do not eat out as much and so we do not go to the grocery store every other day. We did it for the last two weeks and we only ate out twice. We had to eat out once because we made turkey burgers and we are not sure what went wrong but they just kept falling apart and they were a mess so we went to barbacoa because we were kind of in a rush. That is pretty good for us because we have busy schedules so it is always easier to go and grab something. I tried 7 new and different recipes and ended up adding 5 of them to my recipe box which is always exciting. I planned our recipes in advance and bought everything I needed so I did not have to cross the path of the grocery store again. I obviously did not need to buy a lot because well if you are reading this then you probably know that I have a lot of food in my home at all times. Here is the list of recipes we tried and loved in the last two weeks so if you want the recipe for any of them then I will for sure give them to you.

Family Pictures

Jeffs family recently had family pictures done and here are just a few of my faves. They look a little weird on the blog for some reason but they really turned out great. I am excited to have an updated picture of everyone hanging in my house.The cute nieces. They were not hard to photograph like the boys below. We all stood behind the photographer and made loud noises and funny faces trying to get them to pay attention and they were not having it. I love it though because it is candid and not posed at all.
Jeff siblings and their spouses. He has three brothers and one sister. His sister is the second girl on the left and then the rest are his brothers. I love being apart of this family.

The whole fam!! I bet you can't guess how many time this took us. We did succeed though and I think the pic looks great.

Rock Climbing

So April took me Rock climbing this weekend. I have been once and that was five years ago on a little rock but this one was a little more intense. Rock climbing is rated on a scale of 5.1 being the easiest and 5.12 being the hardest and this one that we did is a 5.9. It was a lot of fun but there was no trail leading to the spot so we had to climb up some fallen rocks that was a little rough because sometimes you would step on a rock and it would roll down the hill to the person below you. We finally got to the spot and it was nice because it was in the shade. We got everything hooked up and first Aprils friend went below is a pic of her coming down and then April went. They both do this a lot so they made it to the top pretty quickly with no problems. Then it was my turn and I was kind of nervous. I got a little more then halfway and then came down because I could not get a good grip anywhere and it was taking way to long and I felt bad making them sit on the bottom waiting for me. Then we had to hike down the rocky mountain and that was hardest part because we were already tired and we tried a different way that was full of trees and the rocks. That was rough for sure. Overall it was a lot of fun and I am excited to go again. April and I had a little photo shoot waiting for her friend to get everything set up on the top.

B-day and a New Ride!!

Jeff had a pretty good week, he got a new car and turned 24. Jeff has had his parents old car for a little while and even though we were so grateful for it we were glad to get rid of it. It did not have air conditioning and you had to open the trunk before you got in it or the alarm would go off. Jeff was such a good sport driving it to UVU every other day in 90 degree weather but we knew he could not do it for long. We started looking for new cars on KSL but for some reason we just could not commit to anything. We were nervous about having another payment and we did not want to buy a car that we would have to spend a ton of money fixing up. Well we kind of put the car shopping on hold and forgot about it when we were at Sunday dinner and my brother in law told Jeff that he was getting a new truck and selling his. His is a truck just like Jeff wanted and we knew that it had been taken care of. My brother in law has had it since 1999 and it only has 70,000 miles on it. We were so excited and we knew we could not pass it up so we told him we would take it. The only thing was that it is a manual and Jeff has never driven one before. That made him a little nervous but I encouraged him that he would love it. So we took it and he could not be more excited. I love seeing Jeff happy about something like this. He is like a little kid with a new toy it is so fun.

Jeff also had a birthday this week. It is kind of fun having our birthdays within a week of each other because we get to celebrate for two weeks. I woke up a little early for work on his birthday and made this little banner for him to see when he got up for school. I also bought him a new video game that he has been wanting. I wanted to hide the gift and then when he was done with school I was going to text him to find and open it so he would not be anxious during class to play it but I could not wait till then so I let him open it when he woke up. Here is a pic of him happy with his new game and our baby. Guidos eyes look a little creepy. That night we went to dinner at Ruby River which is Jeffs favorite place and then we went and played miniature golf. It was a lot of fun just hanging just the two of us.

Jeff takes this game pretty serious and of course he always wins.
We both had great birthdays and thank you everyone that made it that much better. We also took family pictures a couple weeks ago that turned out great so I will post those soon.

Fourth of July

Jeff and I decided in June that we wanted to run in the 5k right before the parade. Keep in mind I am not a runner at all. When I get to the gym I do not even look at the treadmills I head straight for the elliptical or the bikes. I hate running with a passion but I just feel that it is something that I should take on because it is so good for you. So about two weeks before the race I started running on the treadmill to see if I could handle it and I found that if I am watching the doctors or Ellen then it is rather easy. A couple nights before the race Jeff, my nephew Devin and my sister in law Nikki all decided to do a practice run of the race just so we would not make fools of ourselves on the day of the race. I thought that I was gonna die and even though I finished that night I just kept thinking to myself this running crap sucks. I really did not want to do the race at all but somehow I talked myself back into it. So Jeff and I get there bright and early and we were running a little late of course so we decided not to pay because that is lame to pay $30 a person just to kill yourself. So I decide that my bra is a safe place to put my money even though Jeff insisted that his pocket was better. So we were running the race and let me tell you while you are in the moment with everyone else it is not as bad as you think. My goal the whole time was to just finish at the 30 minute mark because I did not want to be kicked off for the parade starting and I did not want to miss any of it. So Nikki and I came strolling in at....drum roll please.....29 minutes. For you crazy runners that is weak but for me that is fantastic. I was so excited that I actually finished it and under the time that I wanted. So I go to find Jeff because of course he finished before me with 27 minutes and reach into my bra to get the money and to my surprise there was no money to be found. I looked and looked and still there was no money. I guess that's what I get for thinking I am better then just paying the money. Overall it was fun and I am excited to do more races and build up to the Ragnar next year.Our little family with our matching outfits. Guido was way mad that we made him wear these shorts for the picture but I could not resist they were so cute.Mars family and Jeffs family always sit by each other in the parade so we got a picture together with our festive shirts from American Eagle.This is not the best pic of Jeff and I but please notice my creeper nephew in the background. Can you say Chester the Molester. Ha Ha.

The fourth of July is one of my fave holidays and I am always so sad to see it go but I am excited for next year already.

Swing Batter Batter Swing!!!

A couple weekends ago we went to the batting cages and mini golf with Matt, Britt, Mar and Andy. It was a lot of fun and a little nerve racking for me because I have never been in a cage where balls are flying at you ha ha(keep your jokes to yourselves please) I was really scared but once you do it it is not that bad and I actually hit a couple of them. Here are some pictures of all of us in the cages. Mine and Andys pictures would not turn for some reason so you might just have to break your necks for a minute to look at us.

Then we went to Jordan High School and watched the Real Salt Lake fireworks that were pretty lame. It was a good time though but I always have a good time with these guys.

Syracuse Idol

My cute cousin tried out for Syracuse idol and of course she won. She has such a beautiful voice and such great stage presents that I don't know how they could not pick her to win. Cabin Weekend

A couple weekends ago our good friends Amber and Bert invited us to their cabin. It was a lot of fun and there were many first for me that weekend. I learned how to catch and gut a fish, I shot a gun for the first time and ate hobo dinners (which were yummy and mine were made out of basically all food storage products)

The gutting of the fish that was scary to me but I just knew that I would regret not even trying. I could not actually pull the stuff out because I just did not feel strong enough to do it both physically and mentally :)

There it is in a nutshell our great weekend it was so great to just do nothing all weekend that was life related and it was the first weekend in a long time that Jeff and I were able to spend with each without him heading to work. Thanks guys for inviting us.

Can I tell you what really got me excited about THRIVE food storage.

Jeff and I have had crazy schedules lately and we have not really seen each other a whole lot. So when we had the chance last weekend we had a date night just the two of us. We went for run first because we are trying to be runners or something ha ha. Then we got ready and went to dinner at Iggy's and thanks to Britt and Matt this has become one of my new fave places. We tried to take pictures and I think Jeff was a little embarrassed that the camera was out at a restaurant but I did not care. Jeff trying to be discreet. So the other night I really wanted chicken but I did not just want the normal ways Jeff and I make it so I went onto the food network website and found this awesome recipe. This recipe calls for this jar of cheese stuff and I did not have that so I just melted shredded cheddar cheese and milk and then poured that in and it worked out just fine. I do not think that the picture does it justice because it kind of looks like slop but trust me it is way good. It even smells fantastic while it is cooking because of the onions and bacon. Can you say YUM!!!!

Sushi/Concert/Boot...What More?!?

Don't be Jealous but I totally saw Sugarland at the E Center tonight and let me just tell you they were fantastic. I did not have any pictures because I have lost my camera charger so I can not use my camera. LAME!!!
We started out our night at Makados(I think that's the name) for some Sushi where we waited over an hour for our food and then when it came it was cold so we had to wait a little longer for warmer food. they took $36 off of our bill though so I guess you could say we got a steal of a deal for Sushi. We then headed to the concert and had a blast!!! Sugarland is awesome in concert and their set was so awesome I loved it. The lead singer wore the cutest outfit it was kind of like a Madonna outfit. LoVeD iT!
So now on to the best part of the story....We left the concert and headed to our awesome spot that was in the hotel next to the E center...WRONGO....We had a boot on our car and a piece of paper saying to call this number to pay $80 and we will take the boot off. So Emma calls the number and the guy comes right over to take the boot off. She tried fighting it because we really did not see the No Parking sign. (We were running late so we were just looking for a spot that was all) Well the guy probably gets this every stop he makes so he really did not care he basically told us that we were screwed and unless we paid him $80 then we would just be stranded because he had many other people to torture that night. We just paid the money and then drove home talking about ways we could of gotten out of it like using Mase or just buying a room because that would of been cheaper then the price of the ticket. (We were really tired OK) So that was our night and though it ended not so well it was overall a fantastic night.

{Three Years}

I can not believe that it has been three years already. It seems crazy to me that we have been married that long but like everyone says I can not remember a time when we were not together. It is so different now then it was when we were married and I love Jeff more then I ever thought I could and I feel like we have grown so much in these last years and we have done it together that is the best part.

This is what Jeff came home with the other night after a game of basketball. He was elbowed in the face. Let me just tell you how great of a wife I am. He came home around 11 on Wednesday night and said "Honey look what happened" I was sleeping of course so I just looked at him and rolled back over. He then went downstairs to nurse his wounds all by himself. Luckily our dog is nice and sat with him while I was sleeping ha ha. Then about 3 in the morning it hit me and I jumped up and turned the lights on. I was in full panic mode at that point. It is kind of funny to think about now because it only took like four hours for me to realize that my husband was hurt. Then I took this picture at 3 a.m. It looks a whole lot better now. He has the scratch underneath his eye still but it is not swollen anymore and it is turning yellow.

Everything else is going great we are loving our new place and we are loving our doggy he is the greatest thing ever.

A New Addition To Our Family!!!

I have not updated in a while and a lot has gone on starting with Jeff and I moving out of my Sister in laws house and moving into our own place and getting this cute little guy. His name is Guido and I love him more then anything. I told Jeff that we were going to be annoying parents when the time comes because all we do now is talk about our dog and how great he is ha ha but we just can't get enough of him.

This is the vest we bought him for when we go potty at night cause it is cold and he is just a little guy. I love it because there is fur on the hood and it looks so cute on him.

The one hard thing about moving out was these little guys. I love them to death and it is so quiet without them around. They are so funny and I loved babysitting and playing with them.

This is kind of old stuff but I bought my brother and Jeff matching P.J's for christmas so I wanted to show them off and then the picture below is of my brother and I cooking on Christmas ha ha I love him.

Look What I Did

I attempted this year to add a little baking to the holidays and anyone who knows me knows that I am not the best baker because I hold zero patience when it comes to waiting, this my friends is why I stick to cooking cause that is easy. So it took me four attempts to get these caramels just right but I was determined and I did and they are fantastic. I will be making more of them soon. I also made fudge and that was really easy I was surprised because I thought that would be a lot harder. I took these lovely treats to a family party and they were a hit so that is always a good sign.

A Little Update

It has been awhile since you last heard from me (if anyone is even reading this) So I thought that I would let you all know what is going on.

Jeff started a new job a little over a month ago and we could not be more excited that he has a job. We made it through the 4 months of no job and it is good to be back on board. He is working a night audit job at Marriot and he has also taken on helping coach the sophomore basketball team at Murray. He is way excited about that he loves it. He is very busy with all of that and school and so we rarely get to see each other but we know that this is just a right now thing and soon he will be done with school and hopefully get a different job at that time that he loves.

As for me I am just doing work and school and keeping myself busy while I dont have a husband around. There is not a whole lot going on with me.

A couple weekends ago Jeff surprised me with a night downtown at the Marriot and so we had a little date night. We went to dinner at Ruby River (Love It!!) and then we walked around Gateway for a little while until our movie started. We saw Blind Side and WE LOVED IT!!!

We also went to see the Festival of Trees with some friends and it was great because I like to see all of the different types of decorating and the crazy things that people think of. The best part was hearing Mariannes comments, she cracks me up!!

Last weekend we went to a christmas party and Bert and Ambers beautiful new house. It was a lot of fun we did white elephant gifts, ate yummy food and played some really fun games.

My most recent activity was the christmas concert and I do have pictures but I am writing this at work so I dont have my camera with me. We went with Chandee and Hyrum and it was such a great concert the music was great and the dancing was a little funny but I really liked it a lot. I heard from others that the Sunday concert was by far the best because of the great gifts that were given to the performers and just the emotion that you felt there. That would have been great to see but Saturday was great.

Now it is time for Christmas and I am being honest I am so not ready. I think that this year has just gone by so fast that my mind does not realize that it is Christmas so I just bought my decorations last night, which is sad because normally I am on top of it and ready to decorate right when Thanksgiving is over. I have realized that I am not going to get everything done and I need to just be in the moment for this Holiday and not worry or stress about things that I can not change. This whole post might be all over the place but I have a lot of things on my mind and so it is hard to put it all together. So I hope you can understand it at least a little.

Caramel Apple Sticky Buns

I got this recipe from a blog that pioneer woman and I have to say that it was very good. This blog had the recipe for the actual rolls but I used rhodes cinnamon rolls.

Caramel Topping:
1 stick of butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon dark brown corn syrup
2 tablespoons cream
2 tablespoons of apple juice (optional)
1 Granny smith apple, peeled and finely diced

Add 1 stick of butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, cream and optional apple juice.

Allow to melt over low heat until totally combined. Let boil for a few seconds then remove from heat and set aside.

peel and finely chop the apple

In a round pan add half of the caramel and all of the apples.

This is were I added the rhodes rolls cinnamon rolls and then I added the rest of the caramel sauce over the top.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, covered in foil for the first 25 minutes. I I then added the frosting on top of everything and it was yummy!!

My Review:

I loved these they were so good and I will be making them again for sure.

So I have uploaded a bunch of pictures from the last two weeks. Life has been so crazy lately I have not even had time to breath so when I get the chance to be with friends and just not think about anything it is fantastic. {Utah Man Am I?}

So Mar and Andy asked us to be part of the Muss with them this year and we accepted of course. Jeff was really excited because well if you know my husband he is the Utes #1 fan and he does not hesitate to ever show his pride for them. We went to the game early for the tailgating excitement. I don't really know how exciting it was because there was not a whole lot to do it was really just an atmosphere thing because everyone there was excited for the season to begin also. Jeff and Andy did a little race thing and I caught some pretty sweet action shots of my swift husband {hee hee} So after the tailgating we went to our seats an hour before the game started and let me just tell you the sun sits perfect on our seats so Mar and I were slowing melting away as the seconds ticked on.

This is us at the start of the game after we sweated our life away waiting for the good times. Jeff was really excited to be apart of it which was nice for me because I was able to sit and talk with Mar and Jeff did not really care because he was in his own little world. AWESOME!!!

This is me and my extra cheesy grin before the game. I really did like being there but anyone who knows me knows that I am not into this whole sports excitement as much as my husband is but I do try to get into it for as long as I can for his sake. SNAP!!!

Lasagna Bake

Here goes...I just want everyone to remember that I am not a photographer or a cook so the pictures might not make everything look as good and maybe you wont like what I make. So this week I was looking at some recipes online and nothing was working for me so I took a little from here and a little from there to make something that I thought was fantastic. I do not ever really measure anything so my recipe is not so accurate I am just giving an estimate of what I did. I call it Lasagna bake and it might be called something else somewhere but that is the only thing I could think of.

Lasagna Bake

1 box of bow tie noodles

1 zucchini

1 corn on the cob (corn taken off of the cob)

1 celery stalk

Shredded cheese

1/2 pound of meat

1 can of stewed tomatoes

spaghetti sauce of any kind

herbs that you like the most (I used like oregano, basil, etc..)

I started out preheating the oven to 400 degrees and boiled the noodles.
While the noodles were boiling I chopped up the celery, zucchini, and took the corn off of the cob. You can use corn from the can or frozen corn if you want I just had this left over.

When the noodles were done I added them to this bowl along with the diced tomatoes and a little bit of meat that I had left over from a previous meal.

Then I added the celery, corn and zucchini.

The next step was to add the different spices that I had in my spice rack and some spaghetti sauce that had more veggies. I mixed it all together with a wooden spoon and then put it all into a foiled dish and covered the top with cheese.

I put it in the oven for about 20 - 25 minutes or until the veggies are as soft as you would like them.

Here is the end result....

My Review: This is for sure going in my recipe book because it was so good. I loved it and I will be making it again. It is even better as a leftover.

{Cheap Tip}

If you are like my husband you probably do not like steak just cooked plain. I on the other hand love it plain because then I get to use A1 which is the second love of my life:) I have found that it is really easy to get Jeff to eat steak if we marinate it in something good before. And this is where these beauties come into play. {dun dun dun}

They are 99 cents a bottle at your local smiths and you do not need a lot of sauce to make your food extra yummy. We have used these for four meals already and this particular brand has about 6 or 7 different flavors. Some of the things that we have tried these on in the past are steak, pork, chicken and hamburgers and they made every one of them taste really good and different. So that is a easy cheap trick that adds a little more pizazz to your normal meals.

Baked Summer Squash

So because of Jeffs recent layoff I am trying to be a better cook and try new things so that Jeff and I are not eating out all of the time. I am going to try and post the things that I make for dinner and maybe even how I did it so that you can see and either make it or add your own spin to it. I am also going to give reviews of things that I make because it will most likely be the first time I have made something. So last week we started this and we made yummy pork chops, cheese and zucchini pizza (we even made the dough) we had hamburgers with corn on the cob, crispy chicken and Navajo tacos. I wish I would of thought of this for my blog sooner because then I would of showed you how we did it all. My recipes are going to be semi home made like the show on food network because I don't always have the means and the stuff that I need to make everything. Rhodes rolls is all that I have to say because those have provided a lot of yummy dinners for Jeff and I. I just want to add another side note and just let everyone know that sometimes my food might seem pretty plain and that's because my husband is picky picky so a lot of the time I try to make things we both will eat because I am far from picky.

So my first little recipe that I tried was one from the lady at the farmers market that sold this summer squash to me. Chandee and I went to the farmers market that is at thanksgiving point and we got some pretty good stuff along with this little beauty.

First I cut it open and took the seeds out of it. They like to fly everywhere so I would suggest the scraping them out in the sink not the garbage because you will have a bigger space to work with. Then I put it on a cookie sheet and added butter and brown sugar inside to add yummy flavor.

I baked it for about 10 minutes at 375 degrees. When the ten minutes were up I rolled the squash back together, wrapped it in tin foil, poked hole in both sides of the squash and cooked it for 10 more minutes. I think that I could of wrapped it together in the first place and cooked it for 15 min instead of baking it in two halves and it would of turned out just the same.

My Review:

I feel that this was pretty good. The taste was a little strong for me but I think it would be good to eat every once in a while with dinner. I would not eat it every day though that is for sure.

Donna was eagerly anticipating the birth of her first grandson. Donna's husband and children are the loves of her life. Nothing gave her greater joy than being able to have her family together for boating, camping trips, holidays, and random get togethers. For her, laughter truly was the best medicine. She also loved the time she was able to spend with her granddaughter Brianna. They loved playing board games and going to Build-A-Bear together. Donna's home is a testament to her love for her family, as she was constantly taking pictures and adding new photographs to her collection. Her love and devotion to her family is truly a gift from the Savior, and her greatest legacy. FLoRiDa 09 & BiRtHdAyS

We went to Florida and we are now back and ready to tell the tale. We had a great time and we will be going back for sure. We stayed in a great hotel that had two pools with slides and ships that you could play in. There was a bar that we would get daquiris from and it was funny to see their faces when we asked for them virgin style ha ha because they don't get that at all so they would stop and stare for a second and process it and them make our drinks. We both had a birthday during our vacation and it was a great present going to Florida. For my birthday we were packing and getting all of the last minute things we needed for our trip. That night we went to dinner with my family cause Ken came home from Japan for a couple weeks. :) For Jeff's birthday we went swimming and played miniature golf and then went to dinner at ESPN CLUB. We then went shopping at the outlets. I have major picture overload so enjoy.This is a picture of Jeff getting his spray tan for our trip ha ha right when he was getting undressed to get in the booth he got a call and it was an interview so he could not call them back later so he was walking around with no pants on and he was trying to be all serious and I was cracking up cause the site of it was just so funny.My Birthday dinner with my yummy Blondie from applebees {LoVe It} I have now found another great dessert though because of Britt and Matt it is the Molten Lava thing from Chili's {iT iS FaNtAsTiC} Sarah came along to dinner with my family and got me some cute shoes that wore in Florida the whole time.Then the trip began and we were so excited to get going. In Sea World they let the flamingos go on a morning stroll and we were lucky enough to stroll with them.

We also got the chance to feed the dolphins in Sea World which was a lot of fun cause they come right up to you to get the fish.

THE SPORTS DOMINATOR this is a store that Jeff really wanted to go to and let me tell you it was ghetto for sure. I had to take a picture of the front just to catch some of the ghettoness but it is one of those you had to be there kind of things to really take it all in. I just love the huge wrestler with a little little head ha ha too good.

We also had the opportunity to go to the Orlando temple and it was so beautiful. We were by far the youngest people in the temple and in our session there were only 18 of us. It was small but I loved every second of it because it was just so pretty and I think it is number one on my list of temples as of right now.

Hanging out by the pool which is what we did a lot. My great tan line to ha ha cause I had two different swimsuits that I wore and they did not match up at all. {Too Funny}

Note the man in the background with a speedo right above my head ha ha perfect pic that's for sure. I could not believe the speedos that people had. I saw old men, fathers and little kids in speedos and they do not do anyone justice and they do not hide ANYTHING!!!

The Shamu show and note my hair man Florida really kicked its butt because of the heat and humidity. I even had curly hair at some points and for those of you who don't know my hair is straighter then anything it has no curl at all.

We went to the Real Salt Lake game on Friday with Mar and Andy it was a ton of fun. We had to park all the way in the boondocks but that was ok because we had a good time. The game was pretty good the only sucky thing was that right when we got up to get a better spot for the fireworks Real scored and I was cracking up because we were so close the whole time and then right when we turned our backs they scored.

The Fireworks were pretty cool they had some good music to it that we all sang to and that was pretty cool. July 5th was our friend Matts Birthday so we went over there and had some pizza with Matts friends Ryanne and Braden and they were pretty fun. We watched some TV and played some

So this post is a long time coming because we went to the zoo like a month ago ha ha. We went with Britt and Matt and it was fun. We had a good time looking at all of the animals turn around and show us their bums. {hee hee}. My favorite part was the train ride because my feet were so tired from walking all day long. So the pictures that I have on here are all in no particular order but here they are.

Why can't I just do a normal face in a picture I really dont get it.

This monkey was funny becasue he had all of these branches in his little cage but he wanted the ones on the outside. He also had something hanging out of his butt that freaked us all out.

So a lot has happened since the last time I blogged. I am going to start out with Mariannes Bachelorette party. It was really fun getting together with a bunch of girls that I have not seen in a little while. It all started with Britt, Margie and I decorating our Marriot hotel room. It was so fun we started taking pictures of us jumping on the bed when we realized that their were stains all over the sheets so we called down and they sent this lady up that did had a silly accent. She started flipping out because she thought that we had ruined the room and we were trying to explain to her and then finally she got it and she called down to get us some new sheets and stuff. Then we went to California Pizza Kitchen which is also known as CPK which I learned from Britt that day. We made a shirt for Mar that said "Suck for a Buck" and we put lifesavers on it for people to suck off obviously. Mar had surgery the day before so she was not feeling very good so after dinner we just went back to the hotel and chatted all night. Here are a couple pictures of our adventures.Britt and I on the bed just having a good time :) Ha Ha I love it she looks like a karate girl.Margie and I jumping on the bed and I love how her hat instantly turns into a chefs hat.

The next event was Mariannes wedding dinner and her wedding which was beautiful. They had a dinner the night before and it was yummy food and good company. I sat at a table with Sarah, Chase, My Hubby, Britt, Matt, and to of Mariannes friends from SUU that we got to know pretty well.

All of the girls and I think I had like five pictures of us and at least one person was not smiling in each one so this was the best.

Mar and Andy are married!!!! I got the picture right at the perfect moment cause the video guy and photography were in the way so I am pretty proud of this pic.

Mar looked so beautiful and they just looked so happy it was great.Mar faked everyone out when she was throwing her bouquet. Guess who caught it???? It was Sarah so she is for sure next. :)

Catt and I just hanging out and soon after this pic was taken we started dancing the night away.

We decorated their car and we did a pretty good job if I say so myself. I wish I would of gotten a better pic but my camera was acting funny. So besides Mar and Andy getting married another good thing happened we realized how much fun it is to hang out with Britt and Matt. We hung out this weekend we went to dinner and then came back to my house and played some games and roasted marshmellows. We realized that our husbands are not boy scouts and the only way a fire would ever happen is if Britt and I tried to make one. That did not work so we recruited others to help us while our awesome hubbies just sat on the sidelines watching the action. HA HA great times Britt and I even had to pick dry grass in the dark that we were so sure was full of spiders. We survived though and after all of this we finally had a fire and made the smores I had been waiting all night for. YIPEE!!!

This is getting pretty long I know so if you are still reading then you are either dedicated or bored. Jeff and I were asked by a family in our ward to babysit their four children for a whole week. They have three boys ranging from 1st grade to sixth grade and little three year old girl. Their house was pretty sweet they have slides by their stairs, a rock climbing wall, laser guns and just a big house to say the least. We agreed to this and I have to tell the truth I was pretty nervous going into it and when we started out the first day I was a little overwhelmed. I have zero children and I am not planning on any for awhile so this was quite an adjustment even for just a week. It made me realize how lucky I am to have Jeff by my side because sometimes I would get pretty overwhelmed and Jeff would just talk me through it and even give me little breaks. It was not hard the whole time it did get easier as the week progressed.

This is the family that we watched and they are for sure a handful but I actually enjoyed it very much.

This is the snake costume that Jeff got in to scare the kids and it worked but it made me crack up. I tried to take video but my camera died. UGH!!!

Spring is here!! (kinda)

Spring is supposed to be here but the snow has taken over. I am over the snow so I have decided to make a project and bring spring to my home. I found these items at the Wood Connection craft store and just painted them and glued them together. The bottom shows the little chicks that I made and they are not done yet because I still have to add feathers so I will show pictures when they are complete.

I have not posted for some time because not a whole lot has happened. We are just doing the same old same old you know work, school and hanging out. Chandee did have her baby and this was awhile ago but I am just lame and took a while to post this. His name is Aiden James Bond and he is cute cute cute!!! It is so weird to me that my friends are having babies now but it is so fun because I get to hang out with them and it helps me not be so baby hungry cause I get to hang out with babies all the time. I love it!!!

It is also my aunts B-DAY (yesterday) She is my favorite in the whole world. She is so fun and she has always been there for me no matter what happens. I love her to death and I can not believe that she is twenty five she is OLD!!!! Hee Hee Love ya April.

Valentines Day came early

I have been blogging a lot this month which is pretty cool because I have never had time and this month I have had a little more time to update y'all.

I had to have surgery on Friday so I was not sure how I would be on Saturday so I decided to give Jeff my valentines present for him early. I was really excited because I had been planning this for awhile and I got a lot of cute decorations and I made these really cute things pictured below. The one thing I made is a coupon book that has little pockets that you can insert love coupons. The other thing I made is a box that has cards that I decorated that are the seven reasons I love Jeff. Then I decorated the table with candy and balloons and just made it look all festive and cute. The original plan was to make breakfast for Jeff and have all of this ready but because of the surgery we just had breakfast for dinner on Thursday. We got this heart waffle maker when we got married but we have never used it so I thought this would be a great time to use it.

So on valentines day Jeff and I are just at home because I am not feeling up to going out and about but Jeff has done a really good job of taking care of me and my family and friends have been so wonderful by bringing us treats and calling to make sure that I am ok. I am feeling great though besides the fact that I can not blow my nose for the next week which completely sucks and sleeping was a little difficult because I have to keep my head elevated and so Jeff stayed up all night making sure that I could sleep and when I would fall asleep he was trying to make sure that I did not roll over because he did not want me to swallow blood so poor Jeff had about 3 hours of sleep so now I am just leaving him alone in the room so that he can hopefully fall asleep. Pretty much that is life for us right now and other then that we are doing pretty well in the Ross home.

Can I just say WOW!!!! I have been trying the grocery game and I have to say that I am completely satisfied and excited. Kelli showed my sister in law and I how to play this game and we were a little hesitant because we do not have big families (she has three little boys and a hubby and I have a hubby that does not like food). We decided to take the challenge anyway and it is great. I wish that I would of taken a picture of everything I got but I did not think about that at the time so that wont work now. So these were my results:

I bought a total of $177.52 in groceries

I saved a total of $93.50

Leaving my grand total as...

$84.02

I could not believe it and I got everything I needed I think that overall I have about 2 weeks of food for dinner and about 3 weeks of food for lunch. I even have name brand things and desserts and shampoos and shaving gel. I think that it is great because being a poor newlywed couple leaves your food budget pretty small but now I have plenty of money left in my food budget (awesome!!) I am just really excited about the awesome deal I got so I wanted to share it with everyone and if anyone wants to learn the ways then just ask and I will be more then happy to teach you my ways. They are not that great yet because I am just getting started but we can do it together and I promise you will not be let down. All you have to do now is start saving your coupons that you get in the Sunday paper and any other ads you might be getting and mark the date that you received those coupons on top and then go to thegrocerygame.com and you will just be blown away with all of the savings available to you that you probably had no idea they were even out there. So again if anyone is interested I would be more then happy to help you out and I am thinking about showing the girls at my craft night because I think they would all benefit from it extremely.

Who Knew?

So you might be wondering right now why I have a picture of a rubber band, paperclip and pencil all put together. Well let me tell you that this little thing can tell you how many kids you are going to have and what their sex is going to be and wait it only gets better it tells you what order you are going to have your children in. I know it sounds crazy right? but I think that it is pretty cool. So this little thing works by having someone hold the pencil by the rubber band over the other persons palm facing up. You can not do it to yourself and if it is being done to you then you can not put your hand over any other body part or another persons body because that will mess with the pencil. If the pencil starts to spin in a circle you are going to have a girl and if it goes in a straight line then you are going to have a boy. The pencil will stop after each child if you may and then it will start on the next child. Then when you are done having children it will just stop. I have done it on so many people and it has caused some crazy reactions. I did it at a Superbowl party and it was so funny to hear people getting anxious and talking about how they are going to handle 3 more children or even 3 more boys. It really was a riot.
So I took this little contraption to work to try it on my boss because she is prego and finds out the sex next week so I thought that would be the best way to find out if this is real. Then the next thing I knew everybody in my office wanted to try it out. I had people coming by my desk all day to see what they had to prepare for and the best part someone even brought their girlfriend in to see if it is the same as theirs. I know I know right now you are probably thinking I can not believe you actually believe this and you are showing other people your craziness, my husband thinks the same thing. I just think that it is really fun even if it is not true. When it was done on me I was shocked to find out that according to the pencil (wow that sounds crazy) I am going to be having five kids girl - boy - girl - girl - boy. My husband did it and his said the same thing and I have done it to many spouses and it always says the same thing. So that is my crazy little guilty pleasure I wanted to share with all of you.

Valentines Decor

It is February and that means Valentines day is coming so I am so excited and I made some decorations to make the holidays feel a little more festive. These are some pictures of the decorations that I have made this weekend and I am always looking for more ideas if anyone has any. These are the flowers that I put in a vase with some clear marbles and confetti.

I made this calendar and you just move the blocks to show the correct date and then you have a cute festive calendar.

I am so in love with this banner it is was quick and easy to make and it looks really cute hung up.
So these were the ideas that I have come up with so far so if anyone has any other great ideas then they are always welcome. I am really trying to get into every holiday and decorate and do little treats for my husband which I already have all of his stuff and I am excited so if anyone needs any ideas for there S.O. then let me know because I found the best ideas. Ward Temple Night

Jeff and I went to Jordan River temple the other night with the ward and it was a good time for sure. We dont really get good turn outs at our ward temple nights but all of the fun people showed up for sure. After the temple we went and ate at Chuck A Rama and that was a good time for sure.

So we have started school officially and it is not to bad. I have a teacher that is blind and at first I thought that it was going to be hard but he is so good at what he does that you do not even know that he is blind. I have another class that is just a simple art class but this teacher has made it so hard so hopefully I wil get a decent grade in this class. I guess only time will tell though right.

So it is official school has begun today and I am not super stoked thats for sure. I am just ready to be done and it feels like I will never be even close to done. On a happier note this christmas break was by far one of the best ones yet. Jeff and I just hung out being lazy and doing nothing of true importance. It was great to be around family and friends and not have the stress of school hanging over my head the whole time. Jeff was really excited about the BIG WIN for UTAH and it was fun to get together with a bunch of people and watch the game. We also had a great christmas I got an IPOD for Jeff from the 97.1 ZHT auction for like $75.00 cheaper then the retail price so that was great. This year I was so into the whole gift buying scene it was so much fun. We purchesed some gifts for kids from sub for santa and that was great to help someone else out and it was fun to buy cute little kid outfits and toys because I dont have kids so I got my fix this year thats for sure. We also went to first night with Jeffs friend Greg and his fiance and that was a lot of fun, not the whole first night thing cause that is lame for sure but just hanging out with them. My friends and I also started a monthly craft night that should be really fun we have only done one night so far so we will see how it goes. We did the first one at my house and the people that came were Marianne, Brittney, Chandee, Sarah, Margie and myself and we made these cute modge podge things that I think will turn out really cute so if anyone wants to join us we would love more craft people to come along thats for sure. Jeff and I have gone on a couple little dates this week. I look at them as a celebration because the semester is over for the both of us. I love going out on dates with my hubby because it is so fun to have time to ourselves because we are both so busy it feels like we do not see each other enough so time just for us is great.

I have been really wanting to go to the festival of trees so on saturday night Jeff finally gave in and decided to take me. I was a little picture happy on the way over there so here are some of the pics that I took.

We finally got to the place and Jeff was happy because that meant no more pictures for a minute. It only took us like twenty minutes to find a parking space so that was cool for sure. It was kind of funny because we just drove up and down the isles waiting for someone to leave and it was like a train of cars that you were following. We got pretty lucky though and got a spot that was pretty close to the doors which was good cause it was cold. So then here comes the greatest part for me looking at the trees and gingerbread houses. Here are the pictures of us waiting in line to see the houses.

Ok so there is only one picture because this is the only one that I ended up liking but here is the massive gingerbread house someone made.

Tonight we went on a date also to the Utah game. It was kind of me doing something for Jeff becuase he came to the festival with me. It was for sure a lot better then watching the game at home cause then you are in the action instead of falling asleep on the couch. My favorite part was watching watching the crowd and it was funny because there were some Utah football players sitting next to us all of the little kids kept attacking them to get their autographs and they were just so excited to be able to talk to those "cool football players" I also noticed that even though the players were trying to act cool and like people always wanted their autographs you could tell that they were lovin it for sure.

So today is the day that our very own Roxy went into the MTC (tear). I can not believe that she is gone now but I know that she will do good things. I have some pictures from her farewell, and from the Monday night dinner and game night we had as our last shabang before she left.

We went to dinner at some asian restaurant called....umm I dont remember the name but it started with an M. I got some sushi and it was good good good.

Roxy used to work at a coffee shop and so the owner let us come in after hours and just hang out. We had a ton of fun we played games, danced a little and just chatted. This second picture makes me giggle because of chandees face in the background. I dont know if she is meaning to make this face or not but it makes me laugh thats for sure.

Tina makes me laugh in this picture she is so great I love her ha ha. We are all going to miss Roxy a whole bunch but I am so excited for the day that she gets back and she will have so many great stories to tell us coming straight from the porn capitol of the USA. :)

Thanksgiving and BLACK FRIDAY!!

So I am going to start off with Thanksgiving. Jeff and I had two dinners this year one at his moms and one at my grandmas. One was at 2:00p.m. and the other was at 6:00p.m. so it was good to have some time in between. Here are some pictures from dinner at my grandmas.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year we just relaxed and hung out with family. I love thanksgiving and the opportunity we have to be with family and just the way it feels compared to any normal old Sunday feast.

So when the festivities were all over I planned with my sister in law where we were going to go shopping the next day and let me tell you I had a blast shopping with Kari and Adrianne. I only took one picture because it was early and I forgot I had my camera. We loaded up the care though between all three of us shopping their was a lot of stuff to buy.

My favorite place was Toys R Us and I dont have any kids but just being there with all of those moms that were excited to get stuff for their kids was a lot of fun. I was tempted to just buy some toys for any random kid because I was getting so into it.

This was our schedule we woke up and 4:00 a.m. and then headed to Wal-Mart where people were already in the store guarding the stuff they wanted but lucky for us we did not want any of the fancy electronics that others wanted so we just went around looking and loaded up the cart major and then checked out pretty quickly. Our next stop was Toys R Us and I already told you how fun that was. Then we went to the mall and around this time I was getting tired so we ate at Chick-fil-A and then looked around for a little while. We left left the mall at like 9:00a.m. and headed home. I was so tired I just fell right into bed and took a pretty long nap. I woke up ready to decorate the tree so we got it out and here is the finished product. Our ornaments are pretty ghetto because we dont have all the money in the world to buy nice ones.

I dont know how to flip these pictures I am still learning so you have to tilt your head to looks at it. Sorry!!

So this Christmas I have been feeling pretty creative and I have been wanting to do as many crafts as possible. My newest creation is a Christmas countdown. It is basically just scrapbook paper on a cookie sheet and it is magnetic so you can switch it out and count down to anything you want to. I just like it as Christmas but we will see how I am feeling later.

My next exciting news is that I got a new camera. I am very proud of myself to because normally I see something I like and I just buy it right away but this time I did my research I got a great deal.

I bought this camera that is normally a $200.00 camera for..............$59.99

I was so happy that I waited and got the best deal I could get cause I love my camera now.

Halloween Dinner

Jeff and I had a couple of our friends over for dinner and it was Halloween but we did not all dress up. It was really fun to get to see everyone. I made Taco soup and we played Catch phrase which is like my favorite game and as you can tell from the picture below that I really get into it. This will be the last time we will all be together for awhile because our very own roxy is going on a mission and I am so excited for her but I am going to miss her like crazy.

So Jeff was looking online and found this funny website where you can see what your babies will look like. This is little Deshawn and little Shakara. I let him name them because their is no way he is going to be naming our real babies these crazy ghetto names that he loves. The names that he picked out are not as bad as some of the name that he thinks of all the time. Jeff is also mad that little Deshawn has red hair lol we tried to change it so many times but red hair was all that we got. O so funny. Everyone should try this out to see what their little guys will look like.

I have had fridays off for the last two weeks so I decided to MOG PODGE some stuff. This is what I came up with. I took some wooden letters and put scrapbook paper on them. It was really fun, fast, and easy.

This is the picture that i am going to put them above. I could not figure out how to turn my pictures on here so you have to look at it sideways. I am waiting to put up the letters because I think that I want to add another wood block either a heart or star I am not sure yet.

I am also working on some other projects that I think are going to be awesome so I will keep you updated. If any one has any great ideas for decorating or craft ideas I always love great ideas.

Nickel Mania

Tonight Jeff and I went to Dinner with April and Josh to a place called Chef Tom's I would not recommend it thats for sure. We then went and had a wild and crazy night at the good ole NICKEL MANIA. We had such a good time I never even knew that was possible at such a ghetto place. I think that about half of the machines stole our money but the other half gave us some mad tickets. That was for sure the best part was cashing in the tickets I felt like I was ten again it was great. Only about 2 hours and ten dollars later Jeff and I had won 488 Tickets. We then got to pick out our prizes. Jeff got a whoopi cushion, laffy taffy and a warhead. I picked out some sticker earring, laffy taffy, warheads and this cool thing that can pop really high. We then decided to eat the warheads at that same time and I think that we both about died it was so funny. I did not get any pictures because I am lame and did not have my camera but on the next wild and crazy night I will be all over that.

So I am new to this whole blog thing but I thought it would be great to try it out. I saw Lindseys page and it is always so cute so I decided to go for it. I will just start out by letting you know a little about Jeff and I. We have been married for a little over a year and a half now and Love it!! Jeff is currently working at Deseret First in the accounting department and I will be starting a new job next week at IHC in the insurance department. We both go to school at SLCC. Jeff is going into accounting and I am going into Elementary Education. Jeff loves playing basketball, softball and video games of any kind. I love to scrapbook, read, and sew. We do not have any kids right now but maybe in the next 2 or 3 years we will have Little Jeffreys and Little Kayleenes running around. Well thats Jeff and I in a nutshell.
